  1. In this file, we put any and all ideas for things that would improve our
  2. service to users or help us maintain the archives. Comments and ideas on
  3. these issues should be sent to info-mac-request@sumex-aim.stanford.edu.

  6. 1. Some people have mentioned that the Gopher server has or can have search
  7. capabilities. This, for example, would enable people to look for any copy
  8. of the digest that contained a keyword without downloading each one. How
  9. would I enable these functions?

  11. 2. Someday I'd like to move the archive to a Macintosh-based system, or
  12. make it mountable through the Chooser. This is probably a long way off.
  13. Or make a dial-in service available to those who don't have net access.

  15. 3. Some way to scan the archive for files that are duplicates would be nice.
  16. For example, surf-rider-11.hqx and surfrider-12.hqx. Would some sort of
  17. sounds-like algorithm be useful here? I would probably use this as a guide,
  18. so it could have false positives.
